Udaipur Draft 2031 exhibition by UIT shown to public

To make Udaipur a well planned city, Urban Improvement Trust is brainstorming on Udaipur Master Plan 2031 and hopes for crucial changes in the city’s look and facilities.

To increase the awareness about this project among the local residents, an exhibition was held today at the UIT office.

Udaipur Draft 2031 was inaugurated by Subodh Agarwal, Divisional Commissioner and Roop Kumar Khurana, Chairman UIT.

Other prominent guests of the program were Vikas Bhale(District Collector), Rajni Dangi(Mayor) etc.

According to UIT, the master plan is made by N. K Khare Chief Town Planner, Jaipur Development Authority.

Roop Kumar Khurana informed about the master plan and said that the population of Udaipur has not increased so much as the housing colonies have, i.e.; 8%.

There were 47 villages in the project; now 125 more will be added. A national highway is proposed connecting Gudli and Umarda. For entertainment and amusement purposes, 46,977 acre of total land will be allotted and 1,814 acre of land is proposed for Khelgaon.

Several lands have been proposed and allotted to various facilities. Lake conservation development is divided into G1 and G2 category. Area under 500 meter of Lake falls within G1 category and will be a no-construction zone.

Deependra Dhariwal, one of the main coordinators of the event said, “This new project will be available to the common people for a month. Any suggestions or development issues can be discussed within these 30 days. After a month this project will be in full swing.”
