Two persons killed due to lightning strike in Jaipur

Two persons were killed in Jaipur on Saturday morning when lightning struck them in Mansarovar and Kotputli areas. Three others sustained injuries are undergoing treatment.

Chilly winds and scattered rain were reported in the city throughout the day.

According to the police, Narendra Jatav, a resident of Bayana area in Bharatpur, was having tea from a stall in Mansarovar’s Badarwas area, where he stays in a rented accommodation. “The makeshift stall was under a tree. Besides Narendra, there were three other persons — Kaluram, Mangilal and Chhotu Ram. Around 9 am, lightning struck Narendra and the three men sitting near him,” SHO, Mansarovar, Rajendra Singh said.
