After artists in Jaipur were briefly detained for an art installation at the Jawahar Kala Kendra showing a replica of a cow hanging from a balloon, Rajasthan Chief minister Vasundhara Raje has tweeted saying that the police officials involved in the detention have been removed from their post and she has personally spoken to the artists.

She has even said that the police commissioner of Jaipur has also apologised. The organisers of the event were forced to remove the installation after the artists were heckled. The artists defended themselves saying they were trying to make a point about the harmful effects of polythene on animals.

The dummy made of plastic and hooked to a balloon was installed in the open area of the Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK), a centre of cultural and artistic activities, and was floating at a height of around 200 feet which caught attention of activists who objected and called the police.

Last year also, the summit witnessed a controversy when an artist displayed his creation which was about Lord Ganesha on the toilet pot.
