Rajasthan University Exam controller under ACB trap

The Rajasthan University has put its controller of examinations P L Raigar under ‘awaiting posting order’ after his name appeared in an FIR lodged by anti-corruption bureau recently for conniving with the owners of a B Ed College in Sikar for harassing a student on Monday.

The name of former registrar of RU, Nishkam Diwakar, who is currently posted as joint secretary, home, Rajasthan also figures in the FIR.

Sources told TOI that one student of a BEd College was informed by the college management that he won’t be allowed to appear in the exam this year as he had shortage of attendance. Later the student was called by the owner who sought a hefty amount in lieu of filling his attendance.

The boy approached the anti-corruption bureau following which a trap was laid and the owner was caught red-handed by ACB officials. Later, the ACB officials requested RU to allows the student to sit for the exam as he displayed sheer courage by making a complaint against an influential person. The names of Raigar and Diwakar was added in the FIR recently.
