Rajasthan Govt is not in the Favour of Right to Education Act-2009

Rajasthan Govt is against to the Right to Education Act-2009. Vasudev Devnani "School education minister" of Rajasthan has termed the provisions of Right to Education Act-2009 as degrading the quality of education. He added that promoting students without any rider till class VIII is like weakening the very foundation of our education system. The statement was made during the concluding ceremony of two-day ‘Samarth Bharat: Samarth Shiksha’ organized by RSS-backed Akhil Bharatiya Shaikshik Mahasangh in Jaipur. 

Earlier also, the minister had hinted of bringing three exams in class Class III, V and Class VIII which is against the RTE act. The act says that no students shall be fail till class VIII. “Some of the provisions of the RTE has drastically affected the learning levels in primary and middle classes. Our department has already prepared a draft and we will soon seek permission from government,” said Devnani. Rajasthan is the first state to take a line against the RTE provision of not holding any exams till Class VIII. Rajasthan government want contemplating changes to stress-free education for children in the state.
