Rajasthan Election Commission has prepared the final voters’ list and planning to will roll out on February 10. The list will be available district wise and classified into male-female and age-wise sections. It will form the basis for all political parties to form the campaign strategy. The state election commission has added 21.86 lakh new voters including 5.13 lakh first time voters during its registration drive started December 16, 2013 and ended on January 8, 2014.

The total voters in Lok Sabha polls will be around 4.20 crore as against 4.08 crore total voters in the recently concluded state assembly elections. “The statistics are very important as it will decide the course of campaign by all political parties. For example, addition of 5 lakh first time voters in the age group of 18-19 means that parties have to further intensify its campaign on social networking sites to woo first time voters,” said Muzaffar Bharti, a commentator of state political affairs.
