Raid in Pratapgarh Jail , Mobile and Sim Cards Seized

In the recent raid done in central jail in Pratapgarh district officers have seized costly mobiles , dvd players, SIMs and many more communication products. The raid was done due to the recent firing at the Pratapgarh Nagar Palika chairman Kamlesh Doshi’s house.

Masked men had fired four bullets and left a threatening note outside Doshi’s home allegedly written by one Babu, who is a prisoner in Udaipur on a murder charge. Though no one has been arrested so far, however the police are interrogating a few suspects reportedly accomplices of Babu.

To investigate further, various police teams have been sent to Mandsaur and Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh while a team is investigating the matter at Bharatpur and Alwar. With some important clues and few suspects in hand, the authorities expect to crack the case soon

The police conduced a sudden raid at the central jail on Friday evening and found two plastic boxes from different places in the prison, hidden underground outside the cells which contained five mobile phone handsets along with battery chargers, scissors, headphones, DVDs, CDs, cigarette lighter and Rs 200 in cash.

Prima facie terrorizing seems to be the motive of Babu behind such activities and there is no serious intention, like murder, since a similar incident happened at Mandsaur under his directions, Chhanwal said.
