Mentally Challenged Girl Raped By Teacher

A mentally challenged girl was raped by a teacher at Jai Lal Munshi Ka Rasta under Nahargarh police station area in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Police have arrested the accused, Radheshyam Sharma, a resident of Jai Lal Munshi Ka Rasta. He lives in a rented accommodation.

Sharma is a teacher of accounts at Shakti Vidya Mandir School, situated in Vishwakarma, said police.

PC Bhaskar, SHO, Nahargarh police station, said the 20-year-old victim resides just opposite the house of the teacher. She is mentally challenged. She often leaves her house and wanders here and there, Bhaskar added.

Police said that on Monday night, Sharma saw the girl roaming outside. He called her to his room by saying that she could catch cold outside.

As the girl entered the room at 11.50 pm on Monday, Sharma locked the room and raped her twice, said police. Later, the girl resisted and managed to flee. She reached her house at 1.40 am on Tuesday. The family members noticed her condition and enquired her, after which she narrated the entire incident, said police. Police said that the father of the girl filed a complaint of rape against the teacher at Nahargarh police station in the wee hours of Tuesday. Taking prompt action, police arrested the accused.
