The Pink city will witness a celebrity wedding on January 30, when Bollywood actor Ashish Sharma ties the knot with television actress Archana Taide. Ashish, who made his Bollywood debut with Love, Sex Aur Dhokha, got engaged to Archana, who features in TV soap Qubool Hai, in October. According to sources, the wedding will be a lavish affair, with prominent personalities from the television industry having being invited for the wedding feat.

The 28-year-old actor, who is busy shooting in Mumbai, will reach his hometown on January 27 to begin the pre-wedding celebrations. Confirming the news, Ashish says, “Both of us are busy shooting in Mumbai, that we won’t be able to make it before January 27. All wedding preparations are being done by my parents, brothers and other family members. Fortunately we came to Jaipur a couple of months ago to select a wedding lehenga for Archana. Otherwise, it would have been difficult for us to select the wedding trousseau at the 11th hour.”

The pre-wedding celebrations will take place at a resort situated on Sikar Road, which will be the temporary residence for the bride and groom’s family. Celebrations like haldi, mehendi and the sangeet ceremony will start from January 27 and will continue till January 31. “We will be inviting our friends from the industry, let’s see who all will be able to make it for the wedding, since all are busy shooting,” says Ashish. The two met each other while shooting in Baroda. “It was not love at first sight for us. We liked each other’s company and started dating each other. Finally we got engaged in October last year” says the Jaipur boy, who has done TV serials like Gunahon Ka Devta and Chandragupta Maurya and is currently seen in Rab Se Sohna Isshq. Ashish is also shooting for two films, Youthopia and Dillogical.

three Weddings, three styles “We will get married in a traditional Rajasthani style wedding, then a court marriage in Mumbai and then a Christian wedding will take place in Goa in April,” informs Ashish. But why he is marrying thrice? He replies, “I am a Hindu so I wanted a Rajasthani wedding, following all Hindu rituals. Similary Archana, who is a Catholic, wanted a Christian wedding. Since I’m not a Christian, we will have to do a court marriage first. Respecting her religious belief I agreed to it.”
