The Rajasthan Gujjar Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti held its state-level meeting under the leadership of senior vice-president Shree Ram Bainsla at Dausa on Saturday. At the meeting attended by the Samiti’s members from Dausa, Bayana and Karauli, it was decided to oppose the BJP’s Suraaj Sankalp Yatra under Vasundhara Raje. The Samiti leaders and members also criticised chief minister Ashok Gehlot for his government’s failure in granting quota benefit to Gujjars.

“Gujjars will teach a lesson to both the Congress and the BJP in the coming elections. The community will support on only that party which will promise to give quota to us within the 50% limit and will declare this in its election manifesto,” Samiti spokesperson Himmat Singh Gujjar said.
