Girl surpass boys in RBSE class 12 Commerce Result this year

Girls have done it again, they have scored more than by boys in the senior secondary exam (commerce) conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan. Not only their passing percentage is better than the boys, almost 70 per cent of the girls are also in the top 10 merit list.

In the merit list announced by the RBSE on Tuesday, 12 girls have found place in the top 10 merit list. Some of them shared the position with a boy. Parul Gehlot of Gita Bajaj Bal Mandir Senior Secondary School, Jaipur has topped the exams.

Tripta Sharma of Shri Hanuman Girls Senior Secondary School, Ratangarh (Churu) bagged second position with 93.6 per cent. She scored 468 out of 500 marks, only five marks short of commerce topper. Third position was bagged by Kavita Chaudhary of Shri Hanuman Girls Senior Secondary School, Ratangarh (Churu) who got 92.4 per cent and scored 462 marks. This position was shared by Saurabh Pansari of Jhunjhunu Senior Secondary School.

The pass percentage of the girls who appeared in this exam is 91.77, 10 per cent higher than the boys having a pass percentage of 81.55 percent. One thing that is also visible is that the girls belonging to small village schools have found a place in the merit list.

Shruti Agarwal, a student of Chandra Senior Secondary School, Hindaun city in Karauli district scored 91.2 per cent and shared 5th position with Deepika Agarwal, another student of a private girls’ school of Sujjangarh in Churu.

“Girls have always shown that they are better than boys and the basic reason behind this is that they are sincere towards their studies. They are attentive in class and their attendance in the school is regular,” said Sarita Singh, a teacher of accountancy of a private school in Jaipur.

Even at third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth positions there are either two girls sharing the position or a girl sharing it with a boy. Even in the top 25 list of meritorious students, 15 girls have found places in first to 11th ranks.
