CM Vasundhara Raje making some moves to generate employment and employability, plans to setup an independent Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board in Rajasthan. Raje also favours exclusive service rules for the Tribal Sub-Area Plan for employment generation in the state.

Making a series of announcements on passing a resolution of thanks on the Governor’s Address, Leader of the House Raje said the previous Congress government had dropped the proposal to form the board, but it would be formed and its notification would be issued today itself.

To remove job hurdles in the state’s Tribal areas, the exclusive service rules for ministerial group and sub-ordinate services would be framed soon, and those who get jobs in TSP category would not be shifted elsewhere, she said, adding the notification to this very clause would be made today too.

On demand for abolishing Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) as imposed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the Chief Minister said there would be only one TEST for B.Ed/STC passed out as promised in the BJP’s Suraj Sankalp Patra which had been adopted as an official document.

And rules of TET were being reviewed by a committee set up by her government, she said, adding about 20,000 posts of teachers would be filled up.

An Armed Battalion after the name of Maharan Pratap would also be set up in Pratapgarh, and 1,000 jobs would be created for youths, Raje said. To provide special trainings under STC, the strength of students per school would be increased from 50 to 100 in 14,970 training centres in the state.

In her 75-minute address, the Chief Minister announced that Rajasthan Mission on Livelihood (RMOL) would be revived to impart job oriented training to youth. In the past 45 days, her government had given training to 6,012 youths, and of them 1,500 got jobs, she claimed.

The BJP government would oppose FDI in multi-brand retail sector so that youths could get their business and jobs secured, Raje said.

To overcome water scarcity and increase underground water table in dark zones, she said a proposal to build “water grid” in Chambal and Mahi river basin was in the offing.
