After Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) completed their interrogation on Lashkar terrorist Sayed Abdul Kareem alias Tunda, CBI produced in Tunda in the designated TADA court after four days. The court on the request of CBI sent Tunda to central jail of Ajmer. Tunda was handed over to CBI on 6 of this month January 13.

The CBI on Friday produced Tunda in court under heavy security and said that they have completed interrogation before the time granted by the court. “Since his interrogation is over, we produce Tunda in the court,” a CBI application said. On an earlier request of of CBI, the court sent Tunda to jail till January 13.

Tunda was arrested on production warrant in the Rajdhani express serial blasts of 1993. The CBI first took Tunda to Jaipur and they brought him to Ajmer and kept him in the guest house of police lines. The investigation agency wanted to know the links of Tunda to terrorist groups and also to unearth the financers of these terror attacks in India. “We have verified almost everything from the accused and therefore nothing more is left to know from him,” an official.

Tunda is sent to Ajmer jail where his accomplices Jalees Ansari, Jamal Ulhak, Habib, Arbe Rehman Ansari and Abaree Rehmat who are already convicted in this case are already there. Tunda is also accused in Jaipur tiffin bomb serial blast which is pending in court. He was arrested by CBI from the Nepal border in August 2012 and since then he was lodged in a Delhi jail.

Sources said Tunda cooperated during the interrogation and also gave names who were involved in the conspiracy of serial bomb blasts in India.
