Rajasthan Police seized a huge amount of cash and liquor in past month after model code of conduct (MCC) implemented in Rajasthan. Cash of Rs. 70 lakh and Rs 20 crore liquor has been siezed under 1,564 cases which registered during the last one month.
Apart from cash and liquor, 13 jeeps, seven cars, two bikes, nine trucks which were used for transportation of liquor and other things also accumulated from different parts of Rajasthan by ATS and SOG wing.
In the search ot operation 11.15 kg smack, 38 kg opium, 480 gram brown sugar, 3,015 kg ganja, and 2,000 litre of spirit were also seized from different people in Rajasthan.
Altogether 600 flying-squad teams were deployed to maintain model code of conduct in the state, a spokesman said.
One magistrate, police official and a videographer were attached with each team, he added.
The Election Commission had on October 4 announced the schedule for Assembly polls in Rajasthan and four other states. The MCC came into effect after the announcement.
