Ajmer’s Chishty pays homage at Golden Temple Amritsar

Haji Syed Salman Chishty, the custodian of holy shrine Khawaja Moinuddin Chishty, Ajmer in Rajasthan today paid obeisance at Golden Temple.

Stating that Sufis and Chistias have close relations with Sikhs, Chishty here noted that their sacred hymns have been added into Adi Granth (Guru Granth Sahib) by the fifth Sikh Guru himself.

Chishty is raised among the family of Chishty Sufi Community of Ajmer Sharif, who are the hereditary custodian of the 11th century Sufi Shrine of Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishty.

His family has been serving at the Dargah Ajmer Sharif from last 800 years.

In the evening, he crossed over to Pakistan to attend a marriage ceremony.
