The district administration has demanded deployment of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for the safety of the Pakistan delegation which will come in May to attend the 801st Urs of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishty. The CID department has even sanctioned extra force at the railway station and the central girls’ school of Naya Bazaar where the delegation will stay.

On Monday, a huge protest was staged here by different groups demanding boycott of the Pakistani delegation. These groups threatened to show black flags to the delegation and also boycott the functions organize by administration on the occasion.

Hundreds of people from different groups on Monday protested at the district headquarters and submitted a memorandum to the district collector. These groups demanded that any Pakistani citizen should not be welcomed in Ajmer when Pakistan deliberately attacked Sarabjit in a Lahore jail, .

They also demanded that the district administration writes to the Centre to stop the Pakistani citizens from coming to India. “If they allow them to come here then we will come out on the roads,” one of the protesters said. Other groups threatened that they will show black flags at railway station and will stage protest at most places when the delegation reaches Ajmer.

Considering the tense situation, the administration has demanded CISF personnel from the Central government for the safety of the Pak delegation which will stay here for about a week and attend rituals of Urs. “We on our own will arrange extra security for the Pak delegation during their stay in Ajmer,” said Pyarelal, SP of CID Ajmer. He said demanding CISF depends on the district administration.

Every year, a delegation from different parts of Pakistan come to Ajmer to attend the Urs here and the CID makes all security arrangements of the delegation from their stay to taking them back to New Delhi while returning to Pakistan.
