Delhi Police arrested 4 Indian Mujahideen Terrorists from Rajasthan who were in plan to strike terror during elections in the State and other parts. The four men, including Pakistan-based operative Waqas Ahmed, were found carrying detonators and other explosive material at the time of their arrest.

The arrests come in the wake of repeated intelligence inputs that suggested that terror operatives would try to disrupt the poll process by targeting prominent leaders.

The Special Cell of Delhi police, which has been tracking the operatives for a month now, is interrogating them to garner more information.

Inputs by the Intelligence Bureau had suggested that the terrorists are likely to slip into Jaipur and Jodhpur, through the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan, to target election rallies.
