17 lakh cash seizes by IT team in Dausa

For the forthcoming assembly election, IT dept keeps looking very close eyes in black money transactions. In a major win, Income Tax officers seized Rs 17 lakh cash at a check-post set up by a static surveillance team here in Dausa district in poll-bound Rajasthan.

The cash was seized from a car bearing a Uttar Pradesh registration number at the check-post near Mahua on the Mahua-Bharatpur highway, an official release said.

The person carrying it could not explain the source of the money following which it was seized, it said.

Polling for 200 Assembly seats in the state will be held on December 1.
